UPDATED: The Whole Foods Market Bryant Park location is now open to the public.
During the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Whole Foods utilized this Manhattan location only for fulfillment and delivery of online orders. Since re-opening, face masks are not required for fully vaccinated customers, except for where mandated, according to their website.
Bryant Park, Sixth Avenue and 42nd Street. This afternoon's panoramic view from the dining section at Whole Foods Market Bryant Park in Manhattan.
This location couldn't be more centrally located in Manhattan.
The shopping public here consist of local office workers from any of the mountainous skyscrapers gracing this part of town. Mostly, they're grabbing coffee from the lower level coffee bar or grazing the hot and cold bars for salad and fresh hot main dishes and sides on the upper level. Morning rush and lunch hours are busiest.
You also have nearby residents picking up what they need, happy to have a grocery option where there aren't many. And there's a multitude of tourists stopping in for food to go. Since this location is near Grand Central, Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue and the New York Public Library main branch landmark, there is a steady flow of potential customers consistently buzzing around.
If you don't mind the crowds and shopping on two different levels (produce, floral and personal care on the lower level, sushi bar and everything else on the upper level) then this location will reward you with panoramic views of Bryant Park and Midtown offices. Whether you're a chef or shopping for a new recipe, the reward comes if you choose to take a moment and eat something while sitting along the barstools lining the large windows with attention-grabbing views of the bustling streets, buildings and park below.
