Jamie Oliver 'Quick & Easy Food' Gay Dining Featured Book Review
A few notes on why we chose gay-friendly Jamie Oliver's latest cookbook for our feature review and recommendation (updated):
In time for the upcoming holiday seasons, Gay Dining's featured book to ring it in is Jamie Oliver's 5 Ingredients - Quick & Easy Food.
Jamie is a best-selling brand across books, tv, magazines and apps and is an accomplished chef. His restaurant Fifteen began in 2002 as a way to engage unemployed youth and bring them into the industry. His Foundation focuses on empowering youth and bringing local and international attention to the positive impact that quality food and diet can bring.
In addition, Jamie has proven to be a marriage equality ally with his most recent vocal support in Australia's upcoming marriage equality vote. The non-binding postal survey vote closed November 7th with results announced on November 15th.
5 Ingredients - Quick & Easy Food focuses on maximum flavor and minimum effort for meals that can be put together in under 30 minutes.
There's 130 recipes for everything from salads to sweets and courses in between. Each recipe is accompanied by about 2 photos per recipe.
We like the simplicity and easy-to-find ingredients he uses. And we want to emphasize the simplicity part.
The book title is also a nod to his 5 kids. He shouts them out on the first page.
We think this will make a great tool to have on hand for any upcoming holiday get-togethers.
