Sunset Fried Chicken Sandwiches Now Sold at Seattle's Queer/Bar

From Eater Seattle: Monica Dimas, owner of Eater Seattle’s 2018 Restaurant of the Year, Little Neon Taco, is moving her excellent Sunset Fried Chicken sandwiches to Capitol Hill’s Queer/Bar starting December 14th. Dimas, who also owns popular walk-up windows Tortas Condesa and Westman’s Bagel and Coffee, recently closed her original Sunset Fried Chicken location, which has been replaced by Ma’ono Fried Chicken inside Rachel’s Ginger Beer on Capitol Hill.

Dimas’s new menu is an expanded version of the one she served at Rachel’s. There are the familiar sandwiches, with options like the OG (fried chicken, dill pickles, cabbage slaw, and mayo) and the GT (a General Tso’s-inspired sandwich with a sweet-and-spicy sauce, daikon, cilantro, and mayo), as well as options like chicken wings (with GT barbecue or Cajun sauce), Cajun popcorn chicken, fried green tomatoes, Caesar salad, and a burger.

There’ll also be a happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. daily with $5 wine pours, well drinks, and beer, plus some to-be-determined food discounts. A daily “power hour” from 8 to 9 p.m. will bring similar markdowns. Dimas says the bar’s staff will offer table service rather than a walk-up window, along with delivery through Postmates and Doordash. Sunset is even promising that brunch is coming soon.

Dimas is also still working on a Sea-Tac Airport location of Sunset Fried Chicken (formerly called Sunset Fried Chicken Sandwiches), which will join a slew of other exciting additions to the airport’s dining options.
