Air travel, especially U.S. domestic air travel, is starting to roar back to 2019 levels. And out lesbian chef, philanthropist and business person Cat Cora knows how to make the travel experience a little bit better. Her pub-like hot spot at Detroit's Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is called Taproom and depending on how long your layover or delay is, Taproom is there for you with organic eats, craft beer and a full bar. Open since 2017, it's where to go at DTW.
Located in the McNamara Terminal near gates A22 and A24, Taproom offers an enclosed dining area and bar with views of the tarmac outside and the busy travelers whisking by in the terminal.
It's rare to find quality organic food inside airports but you'll find it here. You'll also find craft beers locally sourced from Michigan and specialty cocktails.
When at DTW, check out celebrity chef Cat Cora's Taproom and tell us what you think.
