Gay Couple Featured in Cadbury Creme Egg Ad, Plus Recipe

UPDATE: Cadbury succumbed to negative press about the ad, in particular the gay couple feature. You may still be able to locate the video online.

Chocolate maker Cadbury has been in business for over 200 years and is now celebrating another milestone. The 50th anniversary of the Cadbury Creme Egg.

To celebrate, Cadbury just released their advertisement which features a gay couple sharing one of the chocolate eggs.

The video has sparked both positive and negative feedback across social media. Some voiced offense at the couple being included while others joked that the only offense was having to share a Creme Egg at all with anyone.

Take a watch and let us know what you think. Also, what are your thoughts about the Cadbury Creme Egg? Are you a fan? If you are a fan, check out Cadbury's recipe below for a Creme Egg Toastie:

2 slices white bread

1 tbsp butter

1 Cadbury Creme Egg

Lightly toast both slices of bread

Cut Creme Egg into small pieces, place on a plate and microwave for about 10 seconds. Consistency should be pliable.

Spread butter on one side of both pieces of bread.

Add the partly melted Creme Egg onto the un-buttered side of one piece of bread. Place the other piece of bread on top, butter side facing up.

Place in a toaster oven or conventional oven for about 4 1/2 to 5 minutes at about 175 degrees.

Slice the Toastie in half diagonally and remove any excessive crust. Enjoy...
